It celebrated 150 years since the first organised tourist accommodations appeared in the Logar Valley, alongside 30 years since the reopening of the family-run Hotel Plesnik. These milestones highlighted a rare continuity between people and landscape – a heritage that is carefully preserved while constantly evolving to meet the present.

In this anniversary year, Hotel Plesnik further reinforced its commitment to quality and authenticity with the opening of a new fine-dining restaurant, created in partnership with chefs Tom Čopar and Janez Bratovž. The restaurant is guided by a culinary philosophy rooted in seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, deep respect for tradition and thoughtful, creative interpretations of the Upper Savinja Valley’s stories. At its heart remain the recipes of Mama Marija – simple, honest dishes passed down through generations, now reimagined as contemporary expressions of place and memory.

That excellence and responsibility can exist in perfect balance is confirmed by prestigious recognitions, including the Michelin Green Star, 89 points in the Falstaff Guide and coverage on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants platform, where the Restaurant at Hotel Plesnik is highlighted as one of Slovenia’s most compelling examples of sustainable gastronomy. These acknowledgements affirm that integrity, craftsmanship and environmental responsibility need not come at the expense of refinement.

Above all, nature remains the hotel’s greatest source of inspiration.
